Day 1

Full-Day Tour to Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Sakkara

and Memphis

Who doesn’t dream to see the pyramids? Get an in-depth view of ancient Egypt’s history and architecture. your tour guide will take you in a nice walk around each of the three pyramids and explain you how they were built, meanwhile you can take wonderful pictures and a camel ride if you wish. From there, head to the Valley Temple and legendary Sphinx. Next is to visit Saqqara Necropolis, one of the largest archaeological sites in Egypt. it has many tombs, known as Mastabas, where the 4500 years old colors on the wonderful carvings are still fresh and bright . This is where the first pyramid ever was built, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. finally visit the beautiful Imhotep Museum.

Memphis, founded around 3,100 BC as the first capital ever of ancient Egypt more than five thousands years ago. Now there is a wonderful open-air museum where all the objects found during excavation in Memphis are exhibited. This is where also you can see the gigantic statue of the great King, Ramesses 2nd.

 

Day 2 Egyptian museum, Coptic and Islamic Cairo

 

 

Visiting the Egyptian museum at Tahrir square as the grand new museum is not opened yet . you will have a nice guided tour to behold the masterpieces of ancient Egyptian art including the treasures of king tut. Then go to visit the citadel with the famous mosque of Mohamed Ali or alabaster mosque.

Drive to visit Coptic Cairo where you will see some of world oldest churches as hanging church, saint sergious . saint Barbara and the Jewish synagogue of ben Ezra. from there we will go for a walk through the magical streets of historic Cairo with ancient souks until reach khan khalily bazar. There will have a drink at the famous café called fishawy. Later will have a walk again through al moez street to end with walls and gates of historic Cairo.
